Below
is a list of the most frequently asked questions.
However, if there is a question that is not listed below, please do not
hesitate to e-mail us on info@globalfreightsolutions.com
-
Will it cost me more to deal with GFS?
No, it will not cost any more to deal with GFS than it would to deal
with another provider, and you will receive higher levels of service.
- Will
I have to pay for your unique I.T. management system?
No, we have deliberately not charged any extra for this, it is
the differentiator between our competition and us.
-
What if I have very aggressive rates!!
We have found on many occasions that, customers with either professional
procurement teams, or large volumes to negotiate with, pay extra in
many other ways including: poor service, lack of customer focus and
hidden costs to expedite late or missing parcels and freight. Taking
all of these factors into consideration your aggressive rates may not
seem so competitive in the long run.
- Are you
saying that you can improve the carriers service?
Indirectly, yes! What we cant do is change the way they operate;
all major carriers are huge companies with very fixed ways of working,
some good, and some bad. What GFS does is complement the good and improves
the bad. We monitor and control the situation and react quickly to the
failures. We streamline the systems and we make sure that you are kept
informed proactively at all times!
-
Do I have to sign up for a long-term contract?
No, our goal to develop our relationship with our customers ensuring
regular contact and on-going technical developments so that you would
have no desire to change your freight and logistics provider ever again.
- Will
you insure my goods?
Yes, we have very competitive rates and we can also offer you savings
on your insurance costs on top of your unit ship cost. These savings
may not only be monetary but in terms of time and resource in late,
missing and damaged parcel claims. Our unique technology will automatically
generate a claim and track when the credit note should arrive also.
- What
sort of management information can I expect to receive?
There are no restrictions to the type of M.I. that we can provide,
including, frequency of shipments, where they were shipped and to whom,
problem areas and whether they were delivered on time, to name just
a few. We aim to supply you with the management information that YOU
require and as often as YOU need it.
- You
use the words independent and unique often, please explain?
We have are independent in the sense that we are able to choose
the best provider for your specific needs without any bias to one carrier.
Due to this we are able to select the right provider first time, every
time.
We are unique in that we are able to be independent but at the same
time have very strong relationships, and partnership agreements, with
all of the major carriers to ensure your service level is delivered
at the highest standard possible.
-
What additional hardware would I require?
A basic Pentium PC and printer is all you will require. If you already
have a current machine for your shipping this can easily be re-configured
at no extra cost.

What we have found is that there is very limited customer loyalty in the
carrier business
Reason?
Carriers
tend to be inward facing, concerned primarily with internal systems, parcel
and freight movements and not understanding what the customer wants and
how they wish to do business.
GFS
is all about the link between the carrier and the customer, acting as
both shipper and the receiver. It is about response times and information
exchange, its about taking the huge amount of time spent in making
sure what you have put so much time and effort into producing, actually
reaches its destination when it was promised, and if not more importantly
finding it quickly and keeping the customer proactively informed.
